Norma J. Sala, 78, of Townville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at 2:15 p.m. at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born Aug. 2, 1932, in Meadville, she was a daughter of Charles R. and Frances M. MacBlain.
Mrs. Sala was a member of the Church of Nazarene in Titusville.
She was an owner/manager of the Sugarcreek Inn Bar in Townville for several years until retiring. She was well known for her many talents, as she loved quilting, crocheting, gardening, cooking and especially spending time with her family.
Her husband, Russell T. Sala, whom she married on July 8, 1949, preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 1969.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Allen C. MacBlain and Harold MacBlain, also nieces and a nephew, Barbie Jackioka, Sharon Jackioka and David Jackioka, all from Meadville.
She is survived by a sister, Margaret Severo of Meadville; and a sister in-law, Pat MacBlain of Meadville.
Survivors include four children, Darlene Sala (daughter) and her companion, John Mellin, of Saegertown, Roger Sala (son) and his wife, Rhonda, of Meadville, Rita Emery (daughter) and her husband, James, of Oil City, and Ken Sala (son) and his wife, Mary Kay, of Guys Mills; nephew and nieces, James Faunce and his wife, Terry, Lorraine Faunce, Cathy Thomas and Cindy Severo; several grandchildren, Veronica Henley, Jill Docherty and her husband, William, Barbi Hahn, Jennifer Stivanson and her husband, Jason, Stacey Sala, Ben Minick and his wife, Rachael, Stacie Anthony, Virginia (Ginny) Faunce and her boyfriend, Thomas Harris Scott III, Melissa Faunce, Howard (Newt) Faunce and his girlfriend, Jodi Strawbridge, Sandy Harris and her husband, Michael, Casey Thomas, Frank Faunce, Richard Beatty and Travis Hathaway; and several great-grandchildren, Chelsea Dailey and her boyfriend, Todd George, Aaron Brown, Dakota Weier, Olivia Bragg, Sarah Anthony, Julie Anthony, Donald Stivanson, Raelyn Stivanson, Seth Hickman, Alora Minick, Katie, Corenne and Bryanna Burrows, Rae`lynn Scott, Dayton Kaster, Savannah Kaster, Zade Faunce, Brock Faunce, Sara Williams and her husband, Jake, Christina (Nena) Ray, Lorraine (Rainey) Amsdell and Kami Faunce. She also had two great-great grandchildren, Ayriana George and Annabelle Williams.
Friends may call from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Willis L. Arnold Funeral Home, 33353 N. Main St., Townville, a branch of Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home.
The funeral and committal service will follow at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Willis L. Arnold Funeral Home, with Pastor Dominick Pecarao of the Church of Nazarene, Titusville, officiating.
The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Crawford County Inc. (Titusville Branch), 310 N. Monroe St. Titusville, Pa. 16354; or a charity of one’s choice.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all her family. A loss of a wonderful kind hearted woman. I have many good memories of times with her. Glad she is at peace but sad for you loss.
