Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Our hearts are aching; we are crying; we are grieving. Brother, husband, son of our dear and cherished friends, Liz and Jim, of 49 years; our across-the-street neighbors. Bill, you were part of our lives and will always be in our hearts. You were a maker of memories. Our two families have been through it all – the good, the bad, the very good, the very bad. May God continue to help us all. With the deepest, most heartfelt sympathy. Mickey and John Emerson

  2. Bill will always hold a special place in my heart. When we were in 6th grade he was my first kiss. He was a great man and a good friend. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time

  3. I have very fond memories of Billy & his entire family from 1975-1977 when my family lived across the street from his. He was my best friend from 8th grade, when I moved into the neighborhood until the end of our 10th grade—when my family moved away. We shared a lot of time & experienced many firsts together, like drinking, smoking & girl. I’m thankful I returned to Franklin HS Class of 1979’s 40th reunion…where this picture was taken outside his beloved home. Rest in peace my friend.

  4. Q: What 3 words best describe William and why?

    A: Acceptance
    Down home (2 words)
    Life of the party
Always smiling and cracking jokes. One of my most favorite and memorable friends and my friends family in my life. You always felt welcome and comfortable around him. We lost a good one for sure…. He will be in my thoughts..

  5. Jennifer and I are very sorry for your loss. May the memories of your Bill’s love be your strength during this dark time. You have our deepest condolences. Our prayers are with your family. The Andres Family

  6. When we first met Bill and Deb, we thought Debra’s name that she went by, was Honey… because that’s how Bill talked about her, even introduced her.. For months, we called her Honey as well, even now, sometimes that’s how Brian refers to her, he’s heard Bill call her that so much. What a beautiful love. Brian will miss his friend. He was looking forward to winter, driving around doing plumbing jobs and FAC, more fishing and golfing… we’ll miss you buddy.

  7. My brother Craig shared this memorial page with me. I remember Billy Houser very clearly. Billy’s look in the main photo is the same as when I knew him (I was in middle school and a Freshman in high school). I remember his hysterical sense of humor and tentative relationship with rules. I remember him as kind and a great deal of fun to be around. I remember mini bikes, caves, the bus stop and mischief. My sincere condolences to the Houser immediate family and extended family. May you all experience God’s comfort and peace during these difficult days and in the days ahead

  8. Where to begin. Footy. We first met kicking the ball around at the Y. Then we went to the fox and probably had some beers and we never stopped being friends since. Bill, Martin and I drive the black Jetta in England n wales. We laughed the entire time. We loved that trip. Bill was always more than happy to allow me and Johnathan and Olivia to explore the property, fish, hike camp and the Gillian Hut we all built was an absolutely great day. They loved going to Bills. It was always a great time out there. FAC was great when I worked down the road and would hang out and get my butt kicked in ping pong. Who’s have guessed Bill could play ping pong that good. Honey was always so sweet when we visited too. She’s the best. Then the animals: dogs running around. Chickens. Pigs. Always something going on.

I’m gonna miss that old dog. He was one of a kind. I wish we kicked around two weeks ago when we talked about it. Would’ve been nice. One more kick around. I’m sad we didn’t.

  9. We are so so sad to hear about Bill‘s passing. He was such a great guy and extremely funny. He spent so much time at our house working on many different plumbing jobs along with his sons Jimmy and Kyle. We got to know them all very well and I loved to listen to his stories about his family and especially about his wife ‘Honey’ and her Bees. Prayers to the family at this difficult time. Marcy & Todd Schiffer.

  10. We were so sorry to hear of Billy’s passing. We will remember his laughter and his fishing stories.
Our sincerest condolences to his family and a special hug for Jim and Liz. May God wrap his loving arms around all of you and give you peace and strength during these difficult days ahead. Love to all !!!

  11. Bill and I spent many mornings fishing. We even managed to win a few Fin and Skin tournaments. Once I managed to get a jig hook stuck deep in my septum. I asked Bill if he could get it out and he said sure. With that he jerked it out with a piece of my nose still on it. As the tears and blood ran down my face he said at least it shouldn’t get infected.! RIP Bill!
