Wilda L. Lynn, 88, of State Route 417 in Cherrytree died at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011 at her residence. Born December 9, 1922 in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Maude Albaugh Moore. Wilda was a homemaker and worked as a cook for the Presbyterian Home in Titusville. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and won the Daffodil Award. Wilda was also an artist, winning several awards. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She loved flowers and gardening and was an excellent baker. Wilda is survived by her children, Charles S. Stevenson III of Diamond, Edward A. Stevenson of Titusville, Beverly J. Hasty of Cherrytree, and Cynthia S. Moyer of Lebanon, PA; two sisters, Phyllis Lindsay of Warren, PA and Dee Howell of Alabama; numerous grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death in 1962 by her first husband, Charles S. Stevenson, Jr. and her ex-husband, Charles Calvin Lynn in 1991. She was also preceded in death by her three brothers, Claude, Allen ("Junior"), and Kenneth Moore; and her sister Lena Newell. Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 3-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor William Hopkins of the Oil City Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment will follow in Diamond Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Benson Memorial Library, 213 North Franklin Street, Titusville, PA 16354.
