Wallace W. Cornell, 95, formerly of Meadville, passed away, Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Crawford County Care Center. He was born June 2, 1917 in Beaver Center, Pennsylvania, a son of George Cornell and Nellie Everdin Cornell. He married Carolyn Bowman in September of 1962, she preceded him in death on July 22, 2004.
He worked as a machine operator at American Viscose for 37 years and was also a self-employed farmer.
He was a member of the Meadville Elks Club.
Wallace is survived by two daughters, Donna Sparks of Phoenix, Arizona and Joyce Baker of Atlantic, Pennsylvania; one son, Eugen Cornell and his wife Dorothy of Conneautville, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Carolyn, he was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Edward Cornell; and four sisters.
Per Wallace's wishes their will be no calling hours or services.
Burial will take place in Spring Cemetery, Springboro, Pennsylvania.
