Vivian Batley Vivian Batley, 90, of 351 Causeway Drive, Franklin, died at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2010. Born December 27, 1919 in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Fannie G. Eaton Hagerty. She was married April 27, 1963 to George W. Batley, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Batley was a homemaker and attended Congress Hill Church of God. She was a life member of the Ladies of the Moose, Franklin Chapter #669. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived her special nephew, David A. Burk and his wife, Linda of Mercer; and also by several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Batley was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Bell; and her step-brothers, Melvin and Daniel Hagerty. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 2, 1010 at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Johnny Pennington, presiding. Interment will follow in Franklin Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Venango County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1045, Oil City PA 16301. I am sorry for your loss. I work the 11 to 7 shift on the hall she was on. I will miss her. She holds a special place in my heart. I have some special memories of her.
