Virginia S. Kingston MORGANTON, N.C. - Virginia S. Kingston, 90, of 107 Magnolia Drive, Morganton, N.C., died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Britthaven of Morganton Nursing Home in Morganton.Born in Meadville, May 1, 1919, she was a daughter of Ralph and Lillian Baker Shirk. She married Robert W. Kingston, Dec. 9, 1943.She was a graduate of Meadville High School, and retired as a secretary in the engineering department of Talon Inc.She enjoyed arts and crafts and painting.She was a former member of St. Brigid Church.Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Robert W. Kingston of Connelly Springs, N.C.; a son, Mark Kingston and his wife, Carrie, of Saegertown; a daughter, Sue Phillippi Kingston of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents.A graveside service will be conducted at the convenience of the family.Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville.Arrangements are under the direction of Roofner-Collins Funeral Home Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.
