Virginia L. Kline, 84, of 432 Wiley Ave., Franklin, died at 4:55 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born Nov. 16, 1924, in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late Louis Cole and Mary Knoch. She was married July 18, 1953, to Clarence W. "Bud" Kline Jr., who preceded her in death. Mrs. Kline retired in 1987 after 17 years as head nurse at UPMC Northwest. She was also a nurse at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia from 1946-1948. She was a member of Rocky Grove Presbyterian Church, Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department auxiliary, AARP, RSVP (Caring Place volunteer, VNA) and a church deacon. Mrs. Kline was a 1942 graduate of Rocky Grove High School and a 1945 graduate of Spencer Hospital School of Nursing. She enjoyed her family and friends and Bible studies. Mrs. Kline is survived by three children, David W. Kline of Franklin, Linda D. Andreasen and her husband, Jerry, of Garden Grove, Calif., and Pamela A. MacKenzie and her husband, Jeff, of Franklin; four grandchildren, Jason Andreasen and his wife, Robin, of Wisconsin, Michael Andreasen of Bakersfield, Calif., Joshua Montgomery and his wife, Tiffany, of Franklin, and Caley MacKenzie of Franklin; four great-grandchildren, Jordan Montgomery of Franklin, Hunter Montgomery of Franklin, Caleb Andreasen of Wisconsin and Hannah Andreasen of Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a brother, Robert Cole and his wife, Marilyn, of Seneca; and a sister-in-law, Audrey Cole of Titusville. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kline was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Spencer in 1951; her second husband, Clarence E. "Bud" Kline Jr.; a brother, Ronald Cole; and a sister-in-law, Jean Cole; and a sister-in-law Dorothy Shaw. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rocky Grove Avenue Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Marc de Jeu of Rocky Grove Avenue Presbyterian Church, assisted by the Rev.
