Veronica M. Peterson

Veronica M. Peterson, age 83, Journeyed to her Heavenly Reward Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at her Residence in Crossingville, Pa. She was born May 9, 1923 in Marion Heights Pa. She was a member of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church in Crossingville, Pa. She was also a life member of V.F.W. Post 2006 Auxiliary. She retired from Talon, and in her early years she worked for Viscose , Albro Packing and Rogers Brothers. She enjoyed Crocheting and spending time with her grandson Gary Lee. She loved to cook for everyone in her family. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Hresko. She married Merle C. Peterson on May 11, 1946 he preceded her in death on April 10, 1997 She is also survived by her Daughter-Vicky (Husband Gary) Shidemantle of Crossingville, Pa. adopted daughter-Jane (husband Bob) Tatters of Guys Mills, Pa. Three Sons, George (wife Mary) Peterson of Oberlin, La. John (wife Dianne) Peterson of Crossingville, Pa. Harvey (wife Beth) Peterson of Springboro, Pa. One Sister, Helen Connors of Albion, Pa. Seventeen grandchildren Twenty Four great-grandchildren Several Nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband , a son Edward Peterson, a daughter Deborah Komnath, Four Brothers, Mike ,John, George, Paul Hresko. three Sisters , Susan Chizmar , Mary Sanders , Anna Bacha Arrangements are being handled by Roofner--Collins Funeral Home, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Thur. April 12, 2007 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00PM .There will be a vigil Prayer service at 3:30 PM Thur. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church Crossingville, Pa. at 10:00 AM Friday, April 13, 2007 , Fr. Thad Kondzielski officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Meadville, Pa. Memorial to St. Philip Church or Hickernell U.M. Church.
