Veronica A. Zierdt

MEADVILLE " Veronica A. Zierdt, 93, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, at Wesbury. She was born in Hazleton on April 4, 1917, a daughter of Andrew and Veronica Deddy Antolick. She married Edwin H. Zierdt on Feb. 14, 1947; he preceded her in death Nov. 6, 1996. She was a homemaker and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters, Debra Cirrincione and her husband, Joseph, of Meadville, Susan Kirshenbaum and her husband, Merrill, of Springfield, Va., and Kathryn Grubb of Berkeley Heights, N.J.; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Jeffrey and Jonathan Grubb, Stephen and Eric Kirshenbaum, and Catherine and Joseph Cirrincione; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Antolick; her mother, Veronica Deddy Antolick; her husband, Edwin H. Zierdt; and 11 brothers and sisters. Calling hours are today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ellen Rezek, chaplain of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, officiating.
