Tyler J. Buchan, 20, of Carlton, died unexpectedly as the result of an accident on Tuesday, August 2nd.Born October 18, 1995 in Franklin, Tyler was the son of Stephen J. and Lisa Latchaw Buchan. He was a 2014 graduate of Cochranton High School. Tyler worked at Montana's Rib and Chop House in Meadville as a server. He also was a football coach for the Franklin Junior High School, and at one time had worked at Dunn's Stables.Tyler enjoyed football, coaching, kayaking and canoeing, fishing, and "hanging out" with his friends.He is survived by his parents, Stephen and Lisa Buchan, and his sister, Mackenzie M. Buchan, all of Carlton. Tyler is additionally survived by his paternal grandmother, Sue Buchan, of Franklin; his aunts, Christine A. Buchan-Yaralli of Boca Raton, Florida, and Cindy L. Rice and her husband, Mark, of Franklin; and his uncle, Thomas A. Latchaw and his wife, Lorrine, of Franklin. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Buchan; and his maternal grandparents, Boballen and Dollie Latchaw.Family and friends of Tyler will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Friday, August 5th from 3 to 7 p.m., and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 6th at the Fox Street Church of God. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. following visitation on Saturday, August 6th at the church, with Rev. Jayne French and Rev. Lonny Wolford, pastor of the church, co-officiating. Please accept our condolences concerning Tyler’s passing. I will remember Tyler as a fun loving kid with a lot of enthusiasm in my 5 the grade classroom.
I also coached Tyler in Jr high football at Cochranton. Pound for pound, he was one of the toughest kids that we had. He was absolutely fearless in battle!!

Tyler was a good Coach to me when I was on the junior high football team he was a great model for me and also showed us what it was like to be in his position He was a great Coach and A great Idol to me Buchan family have my prayers
