Travis Ryan Rivers Travis Ryan Rivers, 30, of Pittsburgh, passed away unexpectedly at his residence at 8:01 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2011. Born October 25, 1981, in Oil City, Travis was the son of Michael D. Rivers of Kennerdell and Debra M. Rivers of Pittsburgh. Travis was employed at HVAC in Pittsburgh as a laborer/apprentice. He enjoyed playing the guitar and the drums. He also enjoyed art and poetry. Music was his life. In addition to his parents, Travis is survived by his brother, Justin M. Rivers of Pittsburgh; his sister, Katharyn D. Rivers of Oil City, and his maternal grandparents, Ben and Marlene Abrams, of Canton, Ohio. He is also survived by his uncles, Michael Piatt and his wife, Heather, and their children, Sarah and Sally, of Canton, Ohio; Patrick Rivers and his wife, Laurie; Shawn Rivers; and Darren Rivers, all of Kennerdell; and his two nieces, Taylor Rivers and Kalynn Kachik, both of Oil City. Travis was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wilbur and Nadine Rivers. Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Wednesday, November 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home at 4 p.m., following visitation, with Rev.
