Thomas R. Keverline, of Franklin, passed away at 12:49 p.m. on Monday, September 23rd, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Thomas was born July 28, 1934 in Venus and was the son of the late Earl G. and Amanda I. Cross Keverline. He was married to the former Meredith Reagle on December 5, 1954 in Winchester, Virginia, and she survives. Mr. Keverline was a 1952 graduate of Franklin High School and a U.S. Army Veteran. Thomas served his country from 1955-1958. He was a Staff Sargent that served with Company B 23rd Armoured Engineering and the 3rd Armoured Division. He was a Union Carpenter and worked on many jobs throughout the Franklin area. He was very proud of the fact that he helped build the first McDonalds that didnt have an arch. Thomas also built his home, and took great pride in his keeping his yard meticulous. He enjoyed hunting and being in the woods. He also treasured the times he spent with his brothers at the sawmill. Thomas and his wife traveled and enjoyed spending their winters in Lakeland, Florida, and spending time with their family in Harbor Island Beaufort, South Carolina. He most enjoyed and treasured the times he spent with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Mr. Keverline is survived by his son, Timothy W. Keverline and his wife, Robin, of Lakeland, Florida; his daughter, Lori L. Milton, and her husband, Charles, of Richmond Hill, Georgia; and his grandchildren, MacKenzie W. Keverline, Kaitlynn B. Milton, Baylee N. Milton, Kennedy R. Milton, Sean M. Wamsley, and Kayla N. Wamsely. He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth H. Keverline and his wife, Norma, of Franklin; several nieces and nephews; and his special friend and companion - his dog, Petey. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Neal Melat; his sister, Julia E. Dolly Phipps; his brother, Danial E. Keverline; and his step-brother, Homer Melat. Family and friends of Mr. Keverline will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 11AM-1PM. Funeral services will follow visitation at 1PM, with Rev. Bobbi Nelson, pastor of the Kennerdell Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in Old Sandy Cemetery, where Military Honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard. The family suggest that memorial contributions for Thomas be made to the Venango County Humane Society, PO Box 1045, Oil City, PA 16301, and/or a charity of ones choice.
