Thelma Wickham

Thelma M. Wickham, 70, of Meadville, died in her Cussewago Road residence in Meadville Friday, Nov. 21, 2008. She was born Sept. 29, 1938, in Meadville son of the late Merl Schreffler and Rachel Miller. She married Lewis Wickham July 29, 1955. Thelma enjoyed line dancing, gardening, baking and spending time with her family. She was a homemaker and worked for Crawford Central School District. She was a member of The First Church of God, the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post #2006, and the Vernon Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Zebbra Walker and her husband, Charles, and Gail Galentine and her husband, David Jr., all of Meadville; a son, Vern Wickham, and his wife, Debbie, of Meadville; a sister, Kaylyn Shearer and her husband, Mark, of Madison, Ohio; two bothers, Gene Schreffler of Meadville, and Denzel Henry and his wife, Lisa, of Blooming Valley; nine grandchildren, Lacey M. Walker, David M. Galentine III, Amy Ann Walker, Jensen L. Galentine, Heather Ann Wickham, Ciaira L. Galentine, Elyn R. Wickham, Tyler R. Wickham and Haille A. Wickham; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dolores Taylor and Donna Schreffler; a brother, Gerry Schreffler; and a grandchild, Alli R. Wickham. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the First Church of God, 13226 Leslie Road, Meadville, with Pastor Temple Jarrell of the First Church of God officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lewis Wickham, 16370 Cussewago Road, Meadville, PA 16335. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Roofner-Collins Funeral Home Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.
