Susan Aikens

Susan Fisk Aikens, 82, of Union City, PA, passed away, Friday, September 22, 2023, at the Corry Manor. She was born May 20, 1941, in Union City, a daughter of Kenneth Eugene Fisk and Henrietta Emerick Fisk. She married David Raymond Aikens on November 26, 1985, and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2022. Susan was a gentle, loving soul and who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Susan was a 1959 graduate of Union City High School and completed her Nursing Aide certification which she applied later in life as she was employed for years as a caregiver for the elderly and disabled. Susan was raised in the First Methodist Church of Union City and later attended the Waterford and Union City Churches of the Nazarene. She became a Christian at a young age and passed her faith on to all her children. She loved nature, walking and being outdoors as much as possible. Susan enjoyed spending time with her family, and always put them first. Left to cherish her memory is her sister Mary (Larry) Green of Clymer, NY; her children, Steven (Kimberly) Flick of Meadville, PA, Caren (Dale) Lewis of Corry, PA, Jana (Robert) Beck of Erie, PA, Michael (Loura) Flick of Hooper, UT, and Deborah (James) Baldwin of Pittsburgh, PA; her stepsons, Sidney Aikens of Erie, PA and Seth (Jennifer) Aikens of Phoenix, AZ; her sister-in-law, Merolyn Olsen of Viborg, SD; and the father of her children, Michael Flick of Leeper, PA. Susan is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David, her sisters Helen Girardi, Janet Fisk, and Ruth Thomas, and her brothers-in-law, Danny Thomas and Warren Olsen. The family is grateful for the loving care provided to Susan by the staff at the Corry Manor. Friends are invited to the First Global Methodist Church of Union City, 42 E. High Street on Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a Celebration of Life to start the same day at 2:00 pm with Pastor Lea Guiney officiating. Susan will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery in Union City. Arrangements are in the care of Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 62 S. Main Street, Union City, PA.
