Shirley Y. Wright

Shirley Y. Wright, 77, of 646 Wright Road in Cooperstown, died at 10:10 P.M. on Saturday, December 25, 2010 at the Meadville Medical Center. Born February 25, 1933 in Franklin, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mildred Dodds Wygant. Shirley was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting. She was a life member of the Lucky 13 Club and a life member of the Wesley Grange #1131 for over 50 years. She was married on February 23, 1957 to Frank "Hunter" Wright, who survives. In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived four sons, Hunter L. Wright and his wife, Leigh of Parker, CO, Robert H. Wright and his girlfriend, Yvonne Homison of Harrisville, Paul A. Wright and his wife, Marcia of Salisbury, NC, and Richard L. Wright and his wife, Lola of Cooperstown; a daughter, Charline Ney and her husband, Ri of Tucson, AZ; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harold Wygant; and a half-brother, Charles Coast. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 5:00 PM at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin with the Rev. Glenn Van Cise of the Chapmanville Community Church officiating. Interment will follow in Sunville Cemetery.
