Samuel Warner Forsell, 68, of 132 Pone Lane, Franklin died at 6:05 PM, August 15, 2013 at his residence, following a lengthy illness. Born May 16, 1945 in Franklin, Samuel was the son of the late Oscar Pete and Evelyn (DeLong) Forsell. He was married to Gwen Sharrar on July 13, 1995. Samuel proudly served his country during the Vietnam Era and was a Peacetime Army Veteran. He was employed as a equipment operator for Penn DOT for many years. Sam was a member of the Oil City American Legion. He was an avid sports fan. He coached Little League for many years, and enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, the San Francisco 49ers, the Dodgers. He enjoyed listening to the Oldies Rock-n-Roll, and spending time with his two cats Miss Kitty Tommy Tucker. He especially enjoyed the times he spent with his family and friends. In addition to his mother and wife, Samuel is survived by his son, Brian of Franklin; his daughter, Terri Hagan of Franklin; his step-daughters, Lorie Chambers and her husband, Terry, of Greenville, and Autum Ferringer and her husband, Randy, of Cochranton; his brothers, Charles Gib Forsell of Franklin, and Steven Forsell of Lucinda; and his sisters, Jane Greenlee and her husband, Bob, of Franklin and Shirley Miller and her husband, Ron, of Rocky Grove. He is additionally survived by his grandchildren, Kyle and Curtis Hagan; and his step-grandchildren, Stephen Ferringer, Dylan Ferringer, Nicole Keck and her husband, Adam, Terry Chambers III, Dominic Chambers, and Megan Chambers. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Sunday, August 18th, 2013, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM -9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 19th, 2013 at the funeral home, with Rev. Gary Small, pastor of the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren in Christ Church, officiating. Interment will be in Graham Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard.
