Rose A. Stanford

Rose A. Stanford Rose A. Stanford, 63, of 673 Washington St., Meadville, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at her residence. She was born in Meadville on March 13, 1945, a daughter of Milton and Elizabeth Reese Lang. She married Robert V. Stanford on June 21, 1967. She worked at GTI, National Tel-Tronics and then Andover Industries. Survivors include her husband of 41 years; two daughters, Tanya Matelan and her husband, Brian, of Erie, and Sonya Shartle of Meadville; a son, Robert V. (Bobby) Stanford II and his wife, Allyon, of Ferrum, Va.; six grandchildren, Madalyn Stanford, Caitland West, Josie Shartle, Clayton Stanford, Adam Matelan and Cooper Stanford; six brothers, Don Heffern, Bob Lang, Gerald Lang, Milton Lang and his wife, Elaine, Gary Lang and Jim Lang; three sisters, Rita Roloff, Peggy Minnick and Faye Culbertson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and four sisters, Caroline (Sue) Pavlik, Lucy Bleasdale, Lois Troutner and Marion Alexander. Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Roofner-Collins Funeral Home Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Jim Culbertson, new church start director of Evangelical Free Church of America, officiating.
