Ronald W. Davis, Sr., 60, of 205 Erie St., Polk, died Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 7:06 am at UMPC Northwest in Seneca. Born January 8, 1950 in Franklin, PA, he was the son of the late Albert Vincent Davis, Sr. and Geraldine Smith Davis. Ronald served in the U.S. Marine Corp and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He later enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in both Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He retired from the Army as a Staff Sergeant/E6. Following his service in the Army, Ronald was a civilian heavy equipment mechanic for the Department of the Army until his retirement. He was a former long-time member of the Franklin Eagles. Ronald loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a Steelers fan. Ronald was married on November 12, 2003 to the former Dorothy Hall, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Ronald W. Davis, Jr. and his financee, Sherry McDonald of Franklin, Phillip J. Davis, Sr. and his wife, Joanie of Franklin, and LaVern E. Davis of Erie; a daughter, Kathy I. Angello and her husband Thomas, Sr. of Butler; a brother, Albert V. Davis, Jr. and his wife, Audrey of Franklin; and a sister, Carol Kline of Franklin. Ronald is also survived by eight grandchildren Adrianna Davis, Phillip Davis, Jr., Wyatt Davis, and Cali Davis, all of Franklin, Thomas Angello, Jr. and Lily Angello of Butler, Dakota Davis of State College, PA, and Krista Davis of Latonia, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons, Jacob Davis and Jason Davis. Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin on Monday, February 15, 2010 from 3-7 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Kyle, retired minister, presiding. i cant belive this happened, but he is in a better place now, and all his services and talks that i have had with my grandpa will be greatly appriciated, and never forgotten. he will always be loved and will always have a place in my heart.

To my Uncle Ron you will be greatly missed. I remember the times you would put me on your lap and tell me stories when I was visiting at Grandma Baughman’s house on Chestnut Street.
