Robert P. Novak, Jr., age 51, of 21 Bleakley Ave, Franklin, died Monday, December 24, 2012 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca, PA. A son of Robert P., Sr. and Mary G. Kightlinger Novak, he was born November 27, 1961 in Franklin, PA. Mr. Novak was a 1980 graduate of Franklin High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, anything outdoors, and working as a volunteer for Gliding Stars, an adaptive skating program, for 28 years. A peacetime veteran, he had served in the US Navy. He was employed as a Laborer for 15 years by Taylor-Pholman Foundry in Buffalo, NY. Surviving is his wife, Dawn M. Martin Novak, whom he married November 2, 1984; two sons, James B. Novak and Robert P. Novak III, both of Franklin; a daughter Michelle Novak, also of Franklin; three brothers, Randy Novak of Cooperstown, PA; David B. Novak and wife Christine of Emlenton, Steven J. Novak and wife Marcy of Cooperstown, PA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Friends will be received from 10 am to 11 am Friday, December 28 at the Gardinier Funeral Home, 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA, where funeral services will be held 11am Friday with the Rev. Mark Fultz of the Cooperstown Evangelical Tabernacle officiating. Interment will be made in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. my prayers are with you all. my heart is very heavy with not being able to be there but i do love you all. and we do have our camping memories. Mr. wheely popper he sure loved that electric cart. he will be so missed .

I was so heartbroken to hear of Bobby’s passing. I knew he had been sick & just thought of him on Monday afternoon, & was going to try to contact one of you to see how he was. He had been in my thoughts & prayers since I had heard about him being sick. Dear Family, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The death of a loved one is never easy. I find comfort in the scriptures, were it speaks of a time when those lost ones will “come out of the memorial tombs”, (John 5:28 & 29), what a blessing for us to look forward too, when we can see them again……..
