Born in: Union City, Pennsylvania

Robert Matthew Cieslak, Bobby, 53, passed away May 28, 2018 and is rocking the streets of heaven like he did the streets of Union City. He is survived by his parents, Edmund and Eloise Cieslak II, his TWISTED sister and family, Lisa, Eric and much-loved nephew, Jay Johnson; a true treasured friend and love of many years, Toni Hart; a special friend and brother, Kevin Gilbert, as well as many amazing aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who are familyincluding the town of Union City who embraced our Bobby with such kindness. Hey-Oh! He was preceded in death by Grandparents Leo and Margaret Higley, Edmund Cieslak I, John and Helen Kusiak; Aunts and Uncles Marlene Wright, Pete and Carolyn Baideme, Carlton Audie Higley and David Higley. From being hit by a car at age 8, dealing with severe heart disease and most recently cancer, Bob faced life’s challenges head-on and with his own style. He kept life interesting and colorful for all who knew and loved him. There was never a dull moment with Bob around. We will forever be changed and grateful to have known Robert. Services to celebrate Bobby will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Union City CMA Church, 2 Dowman Street, Union City. Beginning with receiving of friends and family from 1:30-2:30 pm, Celebration Service starting at 2:30 pm followed by a light dessert reception. Please join us as shared sorrow is much easier to bear and shared joy is multiplied. So many have touched Bobby’s life. Thank you for your kindness to him and to us, especially the Infusion Nurses at St. Vincent’s and LECOM VNA Hospice. You shaped the last leg of his earthly journey with remarkable compassion. In lieu of flowers, love a little deeper, be little kinder. Take a walk around Union City and appreciate all the good that is right here in our town. And don’t be afraid to live life perfectly imperfect…you just might end up living quite a life and making quite a difference! Arrangements are in the care of Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 62 S. Main Street, Union City, PA 16438.
