Robert L. Prichard, 85, of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at his home.Born on June 2, 1934, he was the son of the late Haven G. and Gladys E. (Brown) Prichard. He was a 1952 graduate of Oil City High School.On May 31, 1980, he married the former Kathryn M. Beach; she survives him.Robert retired as a Mechanic for Penske Truck Leasing and then became a delivery driver for an independent contractor delivering U.S. Mail until his retirement.Robert belonged to local organizations, mostly being involved in his Masonic clubs. He was a member of the Myrtle Lodge 316, both the Valley of Oil City and Valley of New Castle, the Occident Council #41, the Zem Zem Temple of Erie, the Franklin Commandery #44, the Venango County Shrine Club, Venango County Lassel Club, the Acacia Club, and the Cyrus Royal Arch Chapter #236 out of Titusville.He was also a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in Franklin, a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #328, and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #83. Robert also enjoyed working in his own garage and spending time with his dog, Thunder, and his cat, Beau.In addition to his wife, Kathryn Prichard, Robert is survived by his two daughters, Cindy L. Culbertson and her husband, Jeff, of Pittsburgh, and Karen S. Forse; his two step-sons, Robert Fultz and his wife, Jodi, of Oil City, and Barry Keith of Franklin; his step-daughter, Diana "Dee" Hanna and her companion, Timothy Lowry, of Franklin; his four grandchildren, Jillian Hays of Pittsburgh, Ben Culbertson of Pittsburgh, Jeremy Forse, and Jeremiah Forse; his step-grandson, Matt Fultz of Oil City; his great-grandchild, Josiah Hays of Pittsburgh; his sister, Twilla Snyder of Franklin; and his two sisters-in-law, Lois Prichard and Mary Prichard, both of Oil City. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ralph and Harold Prichard; his brother-in-law, Richard Snyder; his step-father, Harold Speer; and his nephew, John Prichard.Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA 16323 on Friday, June 21, 2019, from 3 pm to 7 pm and on Saturday, June 22, 2019, from 10 am to 11 am.Funeral services for Robert will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at the funeral home beginning at 11 am, with Reverend Joseph Martin, retired Methodist Minister, officiating.Interment will be held at Bethel Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to be made in Robert's name to the Shriner's Hospital, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.To send cards, online condolences, or for further information, family and friends are invited to visit www.gardinierfuneralhome.com.

I worked for Bob at the restaurant at 9th St. years ago and remained friends when I worked at Coogan’s Plg. He always had a smile. My sincere condolences to all the family. He will be missed by many. God bless you all.
