Robert Allen Harvey, Jr., 75, of Saegertown, passed away, Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 27, 1947 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, a son of Robert Allen Harvey, Sr. and Betty Jane Smith Harvey. He married Sandra Kay Nichol on February 14, 1968. She preceded him in death on March 14, 2020. Robert served his county with the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was with the 101st Airborne Division and at 17 years old he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge. On the 50th anniversary of jump school he jumped from 13,500 feet in Grove City. He was of the baptist faith and was employed at American Visco for 15 years, Lord Corporation for 10 years, and he retired from Pennsylvania State Corrections in Albion. Robert enjoyed hunting, gardening, trapping, watching his kids play sports, watching his grandchildren grow up, old tractors, and farming. He is survived by his daughter, Denise K. Brady and her husband Scott; two sons, Timothy A. Harvey and Robert A. Harvey and his wife Kristine; grandchildren, Brittany Burgstahler and her husband Rory, Daniel Brady and his wife Taylor, Christian Harvey and his wife Alexis, Kenna Brady, Zachary Harvey and his wife Emily, Judiann Harvey, Brooke Harvey, and Sierra Harvey; great grandchildren, Lucy Harvey, Walter Harvey, Owen Burgstahler, Maverick Brady, and Charlotte Burgstahler; sisters, Sandra Stainbrook, Wanda Hopkins and her husband Don, and Robin Coxson and her husband Jim; and brothers, William Harvey, Michael Harvey and his companion Angie, Brad Harvey and his wife Lori, and Allen Harvey and his wife Joanna. In addition to his loving wife; he was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Lexi Langer; a great grandson, Bennett Burgstahler; a brother, Ralph Harvey; and a brother in law, Jeff Stainbrook. Family and friends are welcome to call on Monday, April 10th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 11th at 11:00am at the funeral home with Pastor Nate Alsdorf, officiating. Burial with military honors will take place at Venango Cemetery.
