Richard H. Wheelock

MEADVILLE �” Richard (Dick) H. Wheelock, 72, of Meadville, went to be home with the Lord, Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.
He was born Oct. 25, 1938, a son of Lloyd R. Wheelock and Mabel Henry Wheelock.
Dick was a wonderful musician and could play all types of string instruments. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, home improvement projects, gardening and raising animals.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He was a 1959 graduate of Bradford Area High School and attended Southern Ohio Community College.
He was an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran.
He retired as an auto parts worker from KOI Autoparts in Covington, Ky.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Poust and her husband, Robert, of Townville; four grandchildren, Timothy Babula, Rachel Babula, Abigail Babula and Rebecca Taylor, all of Townville; a brother, Donald L. Wheelock of Townville; two sisters, Lillian Mae Wheelock Copeland of Turtle Point and Joan Marie Wheelock Hart of Olean, N.Y.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd R. Wheelock, in 1959; his mother, Mable Henry Wheelock, in 1996; and two sisters, Lois Ann Wheelock in 1975 and Myrna L. Wheelock Neel in 2008.
Calling hours will be Friday from 11 a.m. to noon at Willis L. Arnold Funeral Home, 33353 N. Main St., Townville. A memorial service will follow at noon at the funeral home, with Pastor Glen Vancise of Chapmanville Community Church officiating.
Interment will be in McKean Memorial Park.
