Phyllis I. Deeter Rouchey, 93, of Reservoir Road, Saegertown, passed away, Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Crawford County Care Center. She was born September 24, 1918 in Venango County, a daughter of Gusta Deeter and Ruth Rote Deeter. She married Theodore A. Rouchey, he preceded her in death on May 22, 1979.
She was employed by Talon for over 40 years in assembly and also at G.C. Murphy.
Phyllis enjoyed gardening, mowing yard, word search puzzles, fishing, traveling, playing cards, and watching TV.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Beuchat and her husband Larry of Saegertown and Mary Jane Wood of Conneautville; six grandchildren, Brian Beuchat and his wife Cheryl, Renee Kirk and her husband Barry, Ted Beachat and his companion Lisa, Denise Hickey and her husband Sean, Rodney Wood and his wife Kara, Robert M. Wood III and his wife Jill; fifteen great grandchildren, Brandon, Mikayla, Jordan, Shelby, Bryce, Libby, Kerrington, Darren, Sean, Bradon, Britney, Tabatha, Alex, Benjamin, and Rebecca.
In addition to her husband, Theodore, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Clifford, Norman, and Gaylord; a grandson, Mark Wood; a sister in law, Ruby Deeter; and a son in law; Robert M. Wood, Jr.
Family and friends are welcome to call on Tuesday, May 1st, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will follow at 12:00pm at the funeral home with Dennis Chludzinski, officiating.
Burial will take place in Cooperstown Cemetery.
