Phyllis C. Pabst, 88, of 10 Vo-Tech Drive, Oil City, died at 11:42 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, in UPMC Northwest of Seneca. Born June 30, 1921, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of John Charles and Helen Perry Wilkinson. She retired from Dravo Corp., where she was a secretary. Mrs. Pabst was a member of the Franklin Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, and she enjoyed reading. She was first married to Clarence Eiler, who preceded her in death. She later married Floyd C. Pabst, who also preceded her in death. She then was married to Morris Rosenboom, and he also is deceased. Surviving are two children, Suzanne L. Armstrong and her husband, Dennis, of Franklin and Valerie Gail Herrlich of Oil City; eight grandchildren, Justin, Adrian, Sabrina, Shelby, Harry, Doug, Dawna and Paula; and 13 great-grandchildren, Karie, John, Chelsey, Harry Jr., Ethan, Jerry Jr., Elania, Rachel, Cash, Drew, Max, Kiaira and Jonah. Also surviving are a sister, Jane Callahan of Pittsburgh; a brother, Donald Wilkinson and his wife, Shirley, of Albany, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands; a great-grandchild, MaKenzie Herrlich; and a brother, Jack Wilkinson. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., of 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Bishop Daniel Butler of the Franklin Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officiating. Interment will be in Old Sandy Cemetery. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Venango County Humane Society. Condolences may be sent online at www.gardinierfuneralhome.com.
