Phillip H. Crawford

Phillip H. Crawford, 86, of Cooperstown passed away on February 24, 2024 at UPMC Northwest, Seneca with his family at his side.

Born on July 26, 1938 in Franklin, he was the son of the late Albertus and Mary (Williams) Crawford.

In March of 1958 he married the love of his life, the former Phyllis G. Ritchey.  On November 2, 2015 she preceded him in death.

Phillip retired after many years of service working for Franklin Steel.  He enjoyed being around horses and watching their graceful beauty.  Although his carpentry skills needed honing, he still liked to fix and build things and liked to tinker around with automobiles and motorcycles.  In his younger years, he enjoyed dancing but most of all, he loved his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Gary Crawford and his wife, Sally, of Franklin,  Betty Burkhardt of Franklin, Pammy Crawford and her companion, Jason Hill, of Cooperstown, and Patty Snyder and her husband, Doug, of Dempseytown; his grandchildren Jackie McClimmans and wife Jennie of Greensburg, Josh Burkhardt and his wife, Candida, of Franklin, Coty Burkhardt and his wife, Erin, of Franklin, Matthew Crawford and his wife, Corrina, of Franklin, Gary Crawford, Jr. of Franklin, Phillip E. Crawford of Tennessee, Natanya Bly and her husband, Mike, of Cooperstown, Preston Crawford of Cooperstown,Daughter in law Lisa Crawford of Maryland Cade Crawford of Maryland, Connor Crawford of Maryland, Cyle Crawford of Maryland, and Baine Snyder of Dempseytown; his 7 great grandchildren; and his siblings Nathan Crawford of Franklin, sister in law, Linda Crawford, of Cooperstown, Jim Crawford of Franklin, Wanda Hefferman of Franklin, Karen Ryder of Franklin, Becky Austin of Franklin, and Alberta Poole and her husband, John, of Polk; and his many nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Randy Crawford, his granddaughter Latoshia Collins; his sisters Phyllis Boyles, Shirley Grove; and his brothers Gilbert Crawford, David Crawford, Daniel Crawford and Clarence Crawford and wife Janet Crawford; Brother in law Robert Ryder, sister in law Peach Crawford, brother in law Dale Hefferman, and his son-in-law Dale Burkhardt.

In following with Phillip’s wishes, no public services will be observed at this time.  Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA  16323.
