Phillip Andrew Blakley, 62, of Causeway Drive, Franklin, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Friday, January 17th, at UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh, following a brief illness. Born September 16, 1951 in Grove City, Phillip was the son of James and Lucille Tarsela Blakley. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran. He worked at Polk Center as a Resident Service Aide. Phillip enjoyed relaxing, watching television (especially the sci-fi channel), working on cars, and spending time with his grandchildren. Phillip is survived by his daughter, Stacy Smith of Franklin; his brothers, John Blakley and his wife, Sandy, of Cranberry, and Terry Blakley of Franklin; and his sister, Cindy Morrow and her husband, Curt, of Franklin. Phillip is also survived by his grandchildren, Brandon Miller, Paige Winder and Parker Smith, all of Franklin. In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by his sister, Linda. Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Sunday, January 19 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home following visitation at 2 p.m., with Rev., Karen Kostur, pastor of the Sugarcreek United Methodist Church, officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the local V.E.T.S. Honor Guard. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
