Pauline Rachel Jannot, 94, of Wesbury Cribbs Home, passed away Sunday, May 20th at Meadville Medical Center. She was born September 20, 1917 the daughter of Vernon and Fedelia Ladner. She married Merle E. Jannot on November 27, 1947. He preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 2002. Pauline was a supervisor at the Viscose for many years. Later she and Merle became owners of The Jannot Electric Company where she worked as secretary and bookkeeper until their retirement. Pauline was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, and a lifelong, active, devoted member of the Altar Rosary Society. She also belonged to the Zonta Club for a number of years. Pauline was a loving wife and mother. She and her husband enjoyed several trips abroad, and their cottage on Conneaut Lake will forever hold special memories of good times and family fun. She most especially enjoyed a very close and long time friendship with Dorothy Thomas and her daughter Karen who lived in the cottage next door. Pauline enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casinos, making puzzles, was an avid reader and sports fan. She highly favored Notre Dame and the Steelers. She had a special love of dogs, and had them as constant pets throughout her life. Survivors include three children, Ken Jannot of Alabama, Tom Jannot of Meadville/Florida and Sheryl Justin and husband Marty of Meadville. She was also blessed with 8 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Donald Ladner,a sister Josephine Kalp, a daughter in law Maureen Jannot, and her good friend Dorothy Thomas. Family and friends are welcome to call on Thursday, May 24th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. A prayer vigil service will take place at the funeral home at 7:45pm with Deacon Harvey McQueen, officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 25th at 11:00am at Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, with Father Matthew Kujawinski, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will take place in Saint Agatha Cemetery, Meadville. Memorial contributions may be made in Pauline's memory to Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.     I was saddened to read of the death of your mother Pauline. I have fond memories of her and Merle and also with both of you and your daughters during my 8 years at St. Agatha. Please know I have you in my prayers but more so in my heart! May she rest in peace with her God and His Angels!
