Patricia L. Sterling
December 8, 1945 ~ August 14, 2024
Born in: Findlay, Ohio
Patricia Lynn "Patty" Sterling, 78, of Townville, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 14, 2024 at Meadville Medical Center. Pat was born December 8, 1945, in Findlay, Ohio, the daughter of Carl and Maxine Palmerton.
Patty was know for her vibrant personality and ability to engage everyone she met in lively conversation. She was the life of the party and could chat her way into the hearts of anyone within earshot. Her professional journey hopped from the lively chatter at Butch's Pub to the aisles of Walmart where she never missed a chance to tell a story. She was a nurturing figure to many, often opening her home to those in need, earning the title of "Mom" from many beyond her own family.
Pat's love for life was evident in the joy she had for Christmas, where she started shopping months in advance and could easily out-gift Santa himself, but most of all enjoyed having her family all together in her house for Christmas.
She enjoyed playing cards, was a dedicated fan of her "soapies" and watched every episode of Gunsmoke more than once. She loved to listen to Conway Twitty, but the Number One musician in her life was her husband, Ronnie. She cherished the memories of traveling with the band on the weekends. She danced to every song while he sang or played bass guitar. Recently, she enjoyed listening to him pick the banjo, always his greatest fan.
Patty is lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Ronnie Sterling; her daughter, Linda Seely; her son, Chuck (Tina) Sterling; her grandchildren, Jess (Adam) Ozimec, Jake (Brittany) Sterling and Joe (Caitlyn) Sterling; and her great-grandchildren, Ryder, Raelynn, and Waylon, whom she cherished greatly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert Palmerton, and her son Carl "Bud" Sterling.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Townville Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Service, who were there to support and assist Pat on several occasions.
The family would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff at the ICU and the 4th floor at Meadville Medical Center for all the care and support they have shown over the past two weeks.
Patty will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her last wish? For everyone to keep the conversation going.
Family and Friends are welcome to call on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 2pm to 4pm with the funeral service to follow at 4pm at the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 33353 North Main Street, Townville, Pennsylvania.
Burial will take place at Troy Center Cemetery, Centerville.

Grandma, my fondest memory was two years ago when you and Pops and Linda come up for Halloween Adam and Jess came over to our house. We made a bonfire got you an electric blanket, hot chocolate, and we sat and watched all the kids come up and pass out candy, all the costumes that we saw how cute the kids were. We drank lots of hot chocolate and shared so many stories. I love you, grandma. I will think about you every day.
Prayers for family. You are in our thoughts.
The greatest memory I have is Pat,Florance,Red and myself doing our hair blond and sometimes losing our hair. And Leo refering to us as his blond girlfriends.
Always a smile on her face. Always welcoming. Always a kind word. Always so full of wonderful stories. Always a huge heart. Always full of love and kindness. I will miss you always and love you big. I love you, Patty. I’m just so sad.
Love, Sheri (Ramsey)
Such a sweet cousin, loved to chat it up on the phone! Not for 8 hrs like her and Aunt Marilyn of course! But long enough to share funny memories, you’ll be deeply missed.. “See ya later!” Love you all!
