Pamela J. Hawley, 75, of Union City, will be remembered fondly after she passed away peacefully at her home on June 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 20, 1951, in Corry, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Laurence and Barbara (Greenfield) Peterson.
Pamela married the love of her life, Danny R. Hawley, on October 18, 1968. They shared a beautiful life together until Danny’s passing on September 2, 2005. She attended Wattsburg Schools and dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker, later working at Thomas’ Meat Market and Hershey Cabinet and Millworks in Waterford.
Pamela was known for her hard work and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Laurie Wright (Mike), Barb Britton (Randy), and Dan Hawley (fiancée Denise). Her grandchildren, Samantha, Danielle, Jay, Kayla, Reece, Nick, Nate, Austin, Lane, Blake, and LillyAnne will forever cherish the memories they created together. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Sonny, Laine, James, Sawyer, Hazel, Marshall, and River; her sisters, Sharon Risjan (Don), Cyndi Troup, and Linda Latch; and her adopted son, Noah Shelter (Jessica).
Pamela is joining her beloved husband, her parents, her grandson Bryce, and her brothers Duane and Dennis in eternal peace.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Sunday, June 14th, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Union City Fire Department, located at 50-56 2nd Ave., Union City. A private burial will take place at West Union Cemetery in Union City. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Pamela’s memory to the Union City Fire Department. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
