She passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her beloved family members. She was wed to the late Ormal Jack Brown Sr on April 10, 1943 and were happily married for 27 years. Together they had five children: Ormal Jack Brown Jr (Gay), John M. Brown (Kathy), Marlene Lu Kosnik (Royce), Maxine Sue Brown and Bonnie Adam (Dale). Four grandchildren; Shawn Ethridge (Tara), Amy Keefer (Dan), Ashley Ethridge and Michael Webb. And three great grandchildren; Alexis Keefer, Allison Keefer and Kenlee Keefer. They have been married for 47 years, building a beautiful and happy life together. They (Clair) retired from GE Transportation Inc. and relocated to Florida, spending decades enjoying the sun, sand, ocean, countryside living, vacations with family, retirement lifestyle and gorgeous surroundings of southern living. Nina spent her life as a homemaker always making her family her priority. Rising with the sun, preparing the day for her husband, kids, grandkids and great grandkids alike before paving her day out for friends, family and kind heartedness to those in her neighborhood. She was an avid baker and enjoyed baking pies from scratch. She loved baking pies for each of her family members' birthdays and always several for family gatherings. At any given day if you visited her there would be something fresh baked for her to share and enjoy with visotors. She loved the close relationship with her son in law and found joy in reminding him of the trouble he was in and how she, of course, was an angel, always having hilarious stories of their happy times spent together. Being that she was light hearted, loved to pick on her son, grandson and great grandsons about their beards and how she would love to pull on them if they only would come close enough. Her humor and high jinx will be gravely missed by all. Along with all the incredible stories of growing up in such times as part of a large family and continuing on to her beloved blended family alike. Nina May was recently asked “Where is your most favorite place?” her response “In the arms of my two husbands”. Today she is met by the arms of one and deeply missed from the arms of another. Grandma! Grandpa will bide his time here with us and we will watch over him just as you ask us, until the day when he can lovingly join you in heaven. Guestbook

  1. Our deepest sympathy to Clair and family.

Clair and Nina were neighbors of ours when they lived in North East years ago. My children still talk about visiting “Mr. & Mrs. Ethridge”. They were very kind and hold some good memories for us. We will keep you in our prayers.

  2. So sorry for your loss. You are all in our prayers. I know she will be missed. She is now safe in the arms of Jesus. Harold and Marion Wallace

  3. The Hiles family would care to extend our deepest sympathies to Clair and family with the passing of Nina.
We all enjoyed our time spent together on our “blended family Florida vacations” together as well as the many picnics at the farm. I especially loved time spent on the farm, and begging “Don and Eli for permission to stay longer! It is truly some of my best childhood memories.
May you all find comfort in knowing the love and care genuinely expressed within your family, will carry you all through the coming days.
