She was a very sweet lady. Jim and I really enjoyed having Bible Study with Roger and Nancy. She will be sadly missed. RIP.
We fondly remember Nancy when we use to be neighbors years ago. Our kids were very close! Memories are a great thing!! Nancy’s family have our love & prayers.
I worked with Nancy at Cranberry. She taught Library my first year of teaching here. I was the reason she was moved out of second grade for one year. She made my transition into the library go smoothly. We shared our love of children and all things reading. We both loved to quilt and craft. I will miss running into her at Walmart or the Dollar Tree where we always seem to meet to catch up on all the news. She so loved her family. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time. We know she is very happy in eternity with Jesus and we have the hope we will see her again. In love and prayers, Jina Gaddess
I was so sorry to learn of Nancy’s passing. I have many wonderful memories of our time together at her preschool. She dearly loved the children and it shone through in everything she did. As our own children grew up her love continued to be shown in many ways. What a special lady. Roger, Teresa, Scott and Katie – my deepest sympathy to you and your families.
I found a song years age called Dancing in Heaven. I’m sure Nancy is enjoying singing and dancing in heaven with the angles.
My deepest condolences to the entire family. Nancy was such a kind person.. We share three grandchildren. When they were small, and lived out of town, they often spent vacations in her and Roger’s home. She always opened her home to include me, and I always felt welcome. I know she will be missed terribly by her family, but welcomed joyfully as she joins our savior in heaven.
I enjoyed working with Nancy at Cranberry. She often talked about her family. Especially after she found out I knew Jesse.
We were what we called “twin cousins” as we share the same birthday. We were born in the same hospital in Doylestown, on the same day, within hours of each other and my father, Alfred, was the brother of Nancy’s father, Lester. I have fond memories of our families visiting during our childhood. I am so saddened that my “twin cousin” has passed.
She was a special and sweet lady.
We first met Nancy when she quit teaching at VGSD to raise her children. Jeff was hired to take over her 2nd grade class. Years later in CSD, she taught both of our boys in 2nd grade. Our boys moved onto junior high, and when asked, they quickly said Mrs. Shaw was their favorite teacher at Steffee. She gave them a classroom full of dedication, organization, realistic expectations, sternness when needed, & a sense of humor doing the job she loved. Thank you Mrs. Shaw!!! Jeff & Judy Clark
I got to know Nancy professionally after she retired. I have been wondering why I haven’t seen her around town. I decided to check on her. I’m very sad to read this. She was such a very special lady. She was all things good. My condolences to the family.
