Myrtle F. Lepley Myrtle Lepley, 90, formerly of 209 Center Street, Franklin, passed away at 4:04 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at The Caring Place where she had resided for the past year. Born August 2, 1920 in Foxburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Maude Stover Fulmer. She was married to Robert Lepley on September 15, 1974 and he preceded her in death. Myrtle was a 1938 Graduate of Franklin High School. She worked as a legal secretary from 1942 until 2005 for Wasson, Egan & Wilson, Attorneys at Law. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Franklin. Mrs. Lepley was an avid reader, enjoyed needle point and loved animals. She was also very involved in politics, and was very knowledgeable in the legal field. Myrtle is survived by her step son-in-law, Wilber Miles of Akron Ohio; her step daughters-in law, Lois Lepley of Cooperstown and Doris Lepley of Franklin. She is also survived by her sister, Evelyn Burchfield of Franklin and her sister-in-law, Gerry Fulmer of Aurora, Ohio. Additionally, Myrtle is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Myrtle was preceded in death by her three brothers, Harry Fulmer, Donald Fulmer and Glenn Fulmer; her sister, Gladys O'Neil; her 3 step-sons, Robert Lepley, Zenas (Bill) Lepley and Denton Lepley; and her 2 step-daughters, Neva Heffern and Maryanna Miles. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 21 at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin. Funeral Services for Myrtle will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, October 22 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Janz, pastor of Christ United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Garden. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Venango County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1045, Oil City PA 16301 and/or Christ United Methodist Church, 1135 Buffalo Street, Franklin Pa 16323.
