Mildred G. Custard Mildred G. Custard, 95, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community since June 28, 2007, formerly of Williamson Road, Meadville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Wesbury. Born in Townville on July 9, 1913, she was a daughter of Bert and Gertrude Mae Boyles Crecraft. She married George W. Custard on July 30, 1930. They celebrated 53 years of marriage before his passing Nov. 17, 1983. She was a homemaker. She was most proud of her loving family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was an inspiration to all that knew her and she will be sadly missed. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Louine Johnson and her husband, Bill, of Meadville; two sons, James Custard and Clarence Custard, both of Meadville; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Olive Newhard Welch of Saegertown; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter; and 12 brothers and sisters. Calling hours were Thursday at Roofner-Collins Funeral Home Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville. The funeral is today at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Phillip P. Thomas of Bible Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
