Mary Linda Wills

CHESTER, Va. " Mary Linda Wills (Sutton), 62, of Chester, Va., passed away on Monday, May 10, 2010, at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Va., after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on Oct. 7, 1947, in Meadville, a daughter of Lloyd H. Sutton and Cecila J. Sutton (Poloskey). She married Daniel Lee Wills on July 19, 1969, who preceded her death on Sept. 8, 1972. Mary graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in social work. She worked at Poplar Springs Hospital in Petersburg as a mental health worker for disadvantaged youth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Lee Wills; and her parents, Lloyd H. Sutton and Cecila J. Sutton. She is survived by her twin sons, Sheldon Lynn Wills of Petersburg, and Shawn Lee Wills and his wife, Julie, of Waterford; a sister, Sandra L. Sutton and her companion, Shelia McLaughlin, of Waterford; and two grandchildren, Alexandra G. Christman and Daniel Lynn Wills of Petersburg. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roofner-Collins Funeral Home, 544 Chestnut St., Meadville. The funeral will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. John V. Spahr Sr. of Stone United Methodist Church officiating
