Mary G. Novak Mary G. Novak, 70, of Franklin, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Born July 14, 1940 in Franklin, Mary was the daughter of the late Forest C. and Pearl M. DuPont Kightlinger. She was married on June 30, 1961 to Robert P. Novak, Sr. who preceded her in death. Mary worked at Sugar Creek Station as a housekeeper. She enjoyed gardening, listening to music, computers, and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed going to various casinos, where she was also a Gold Club Player's Member. Mary was a member of the Franklin V.F.W. , Eagles, and Moose Clubs. Mary is survived by her four sons, Randy Novak of Franklin, Robert P. Novak, Jr., and his wife, Dawn, of Buffalo, New York, David B. Novak and his wife, Christine, of Emlenton, and Steven J. Novak and his wife, Marcy, of Cooperstown; and her brother, James Kightlinger and his wife, Mary Lou, of Wilson, New York. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: James Novak, Michelle Novak and Robert Novak III, of Buffalo, New York; Jessica Novak, Kristen Novak, David Novak, Jr., and Megan Novak, of Emlenton; and Stacy Novak and Courtney Novak of Cooperstown; and her one great-grandson, Kaden Sweitzer of Emlenton. She is additionally survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her 4 brothers, Henry, Forest, Blair and Pete Kightlinger; and her sister, Mildred Kightlinger-Williams. Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Tuesday, November 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services for Mary will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 24 at 1:30 p.m. with the Pastor Troy Horne, pastor of the Nazarene Church of Kossuth, officiating. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Kirtland Cancer Foundation - P.O. Box 108, Franklin PA 16323. She will ive on through us and the wonderful memories we all shared with her! She is resting in peace now, flying with the angels, keeping us safe!

    I am so sorry for your Mothers passing. I will miss her and all those beautiful inspiritional Emails. I would at times write and thank her for I really enjoyed them. What a wonderful Mother..always there for you!!! More than once I wrote and told her that and I am glad I did even more now since she passed. She may be gone but not forgotten as she will always hold a “Special” place in my heart! You are in my thoughts and prayers..lean on the Lord for in Him you will find comfort and strength.   7. If you knew Mary you were truly Blessed. She was a wonderful cook, a good listener, a great adviser, & a Wonderful sister in law.

    She was one of those types of people that when you met them you would never forget them,Mary you were that type of person.

    You will always be remembered & be forever in our hearts.
