Mary Ellen Reed

Conneautville- Mary Ellen Reed, 83, passed away, Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Meadville Medical Center. She was born in Meadville, July 17, 1927, a daughter of the late George Locke and Thelma Wheeler Locke. Mary attended Meadville High School. She married Boyd E. Reed on December 4, 1945. Mary always had a smile for everyone. Mary was a wife, mother, homemaker, and worked on the family farm. She enjoyed reading, working on puzzles, gardening, watching birds, and being with her family. Survivors include her husband, Boyd, of 65 years; a son, Larry Reed of Conneautville; three daughters, Nancy Reed of Conneautville, Janice Ferguson and Steve Vozar of Meadville, Donna Patton and her husband David of Conneautville; one grandson, Robert Patton and his wife Melissa of Stubenville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a son, Boyd E. Reed Jr. and a sister, Rosie Nichols. Calling hours will be Friday, March 17, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Meadville. The funeral and committal service will be at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. with David Patton, officiating. Burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
