Mary Kathryn Bimber Mary Bimber, 62, of Georgetown Road, Polk, passed away at 1:24 a.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh. Born December 4, 1949 in Franklin, Mary was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Hazlett Tingley. She was married July 12, 1967 to Danny Bimber and he survives. Mary was a 1966 graduate of Oil City High School. She worked at the Oil City Hospital while she attended high school. She worked as a Residential ServiceAide at Polk Center for 17 years. She was a member of Calvary Temple Church in Oil City. Mary loved reading the Bible. She also enjoyed her Facebook family and emailing her friends. She enjoyed bird watching, , dominoes, and playing cards with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her sons, Dan Bimber and his wife, Heather, of Oil City, and Eric Bimber and his fiancee, Beth Lamberton; her daughter, Tammy Ruth and her husband, Alan, of Venus; and her step-son, Christian Brand and his wife, Sandra, of Germany. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nick Whitmore of Oil City, Chad Ruth of Venus, Joshua Fornof of Oil City, Allyson Bimber of Oil City, Shyenne Gadsby of Franklin, Kiya Rankin of Franklin, and Daniel, Sarah and Michelle of Germany; and her great-grandchild, Corgan Whitmore of Oil City. She is additionally survived by her sister, Darley Lawrence and her husband, Ken, of Oil City; her caregiver, Carol Wilson of Franklin; and her beloved dogs, Chase and Madi. In addition to her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Hazlett Tingley, Mary was preceded in death by her step-mother, Margaret Konetski-Tingley; her brother-in-law, Richard Bimber; and her father and mother-in-law, Franklin and Dorothy Bimber. Family and friends of Mary will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, from 9 to 11 a.m. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. following visitation with Rev. Dillon Vroman, retired pastor of the Meadville Free Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Cooperstown Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 733 3rd Avenue, New York, NY 10017-3288.
