Marge was my spiritual mom, she was very influential in my life and many others. Algow was part of her life she had a lot of wisdom. She loved and prayed for her family also.
To the Family of Marjorie; I am so sorry for your loss. As a child I went with my parents, Harold and Grace Metcalf to the Maynard Reunion which was held at Harland Weidner’s for years. I remember Blanche and Merle Ongley fondly. I read your Mothers name in the obits and the name stood out to me. I believe I corresponded with some genealogy questions to her at one time. Sorry for your loss, she will live in your heart forever with your fond memories.

I have known Marge as long as I can remember, she was our neighbor since I was 3. She made the best peach pie I’ve ever had and grew the most beautiful tulips in her yard. Marge was always there when we needed her, lifting us up in prayer. Our sincere condolences to ALL Marge’s family, she truly was one of the great ones and will be deeply missed.
Marge was always the sweetest person ever. I don’t ever remember seeing her without a smile. My sympathies to the entire Obert family.

Marge and Dale 1944. Not many people have the pleasure of having an Aunt for over 80 years! What a wonderful caring person. She did so much for me during these 80 years.
I had never heard so much about pies till my sister Kathy married Marge’s son, Eric. Marge was considered one of the best pie makers around. She was also quite a seamstress. While my nieces were young, she made them dresses that looked like they were store-bought. Going with the pie stories, my favorite one was when they were going to celebrate my sister Kathy’s birthday at Marge’s. My Mother made very few pies; we were cake people. When they got to Marge’s, Kathy discovered they were having pie. She said the pie was delicious, but then she said they had pie because Eric liked pie, and Marge wanted to make him happy with one of her pies. I think Kathy made sure they had a cake at home for her. She dearly loved Marge and always relied on her for her prayers and Christian example. I know they are all rejoicing in Heaven now, being with the Lord and each other and knowing there is no more suffering.
MARGE & DUANE OBERT MOVED NEXT DOOR TO US WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER ON SOUTH STREET IN UNION CITY. SHE WAS A LIVING TESTIMONY OF THE LOVE AND LIFE OF MY LORD AND SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST. SHE DAILY TENDED HER FLOWERS IN THEIR BACKYARD AND GREW SUCH BEAUTIFUL AFRICAN VIOLETS IN HER DINING ROOM. WHEN I WENT BACK TO PA.TO VISIT IN 1989, SHE AND DUANE WERE SO SWEET AND DARRELL DROVE OVER FROM HIS HOME TO CHAT. SHE AND I VISITED MY FORMER NEIGHBORS TOGETHER AND HAD A LOVELY TIME. SHE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE FOR EVERYONE AND I KNOW SHE IS REJOICING IN HEAVEN WITH JESUS AND AT 87, I WILL BE JOINING HER SOON. MY CONDOLENCES TO HER FAMILY.
