Marjorie J. Durfey

Marjorie J. Durfey, 85, passed away, Friday, August 30, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 31, 1938 in Union City, a daughter of Howard and Ruby Morton Johnson. She married William C. Durfey on June 24, 1964, he preceded her in death.
She was a 1958 graduate of Union City High School and was employed with Elgin Electronics for 40 years until her retirement.
Marjorie was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 237 for over 50 years, board member and secretary for 20 years, member of the Moose Club #882, and the Union City VFW.
In her spare time she enjoyed reading, camping for over 60 years, jigsaw puzzles, and most of all time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory is her children, Scott A. Durfey of Jacksonville, Florida, William C. Durfey II and his wife, Jodie of Lakeland, Florida, Michelle M. Caldwell and her husband, Scott of Venango, and Wendy J. Brown of Union City; step-daughter, Barbara Pruett Durfey of Fremont, Nebraska; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret J. McCurdy and her husband, Butch of Union City, Eleanor M. Fish of Waterford, and Evelyn R. Kehe, of Union City; a special nephew, Butchie McCurdy and his wife, Christina of Union City, and lots of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and two brothers, Robert and Billy Johnson.
Family and friends are welcome to call on Wednesday, September 4th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 62 S. Main Street, Union City. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 5th at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Cody Wojtecki, officiating.
Marjorie will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery, Union City.
