Marie B. Johnson Marie B. Johnson, 90, of 20785 Alden St., Meadville, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at Meadville Medical Center.Born in Covington, Va., Aug. 5, 1918, she was a daughter of Charles B. and Collonial Griffith Steele. She married Walter R. (Ham) Johnson, Nov. 16, 1940; he preceded her in death July 11, 2002.She was employed with American Viscose Corp. in her early years.She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed her family.She attended Allida Smith Wesleyan Methodist Church.Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Ann Nestlerode and her husband, Howard, of Alexandria, Va., Barbara Johnson of Meadville, and Donna Despain and her husband, William, of Tionesta; four grandchildren, Janet Nestlerode, Karen Nestlerode, Diane Gayton and her husband, Brian, and Darlene Butler and her husband, Albert; three great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Betty Steele of Meadville; a brother-in-law, Roland Scott of Saegertown; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; seven brothers, Charles, Frazier, Edward, James, Homer, Harry and Franklin; five sisters, Bessie Rickett, Virginia Wickline, Elizabeth Gerhart, Louise Scott and Juanita Wills; and several nieces and nephews.Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Roofner-Collins Funeral Home Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. William Ray Peak of Allida Smith Wesleyan Methodist Church officiating.Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville.The family requests memorials be made to Allida Smith Wesleyan Methodist Church, 15228 S.
