Margaret Zelasko

Margaret Zelasko, 86, of 31 Park Ave., Meadville, died Sunday, September 26, 2010, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community. She was born in Oil City on July 13, 1924, a daughter of Frank and Anna Boczon Maziarz. She married Edmund J. Zelasko on Oct. 23, 1948; he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed. She loved spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Brigid Church, St. Brigid Altar Rosary Society, the Do-It-Yourself Club and the Polish National Alliance. Survivors include a son, Dan Zelasko and his wife, Pam, of Perryville, MD.; a daughter, Veronica Zelasko of Meadville; three granddaughters, Stephanie McClure, Allyson Zelasko, and Kimberly Zelasko; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter; and a brother, Lucian Maziarz. Calling hours will be Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at Roofner-Collins Funeral Home, 544 Chestnut St., Meadville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 A.M. at St. Brigid Church, with Father Mark O'Hern of St. Brigid's as celebrant Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Township.
