MEADVILLE " Marcus David Manning, 39, of 15034 Harmonsburg Road, Meadville, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, as a result of an automobile accident. Born in Meadville on July 7, 1971, he was a son of David H. and Nancy L. Gerard Manning of Meadville. On Oct. 23, 2004, he married Mary Shontz. A 1989 Meadville Area Senior High School graduate, he attended the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville and was a 2007 graduate of the CNC program at Precision Manufacturing Institute. He was employed at Excalibur Tool at Conneaut Lake. He was affiliated with St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church. Marcus always had a great smile and wonderful sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family, and especially loved train-watching with his son, Christopher. Survivors include his parents, Nancy L. Gerard Manning and David H. Manning, both of Meadville; his wife, Mary Manning of Meadville; his son, Christopher Wendorf Manning and his daughter, Alexa Manning, both of Meadville; two stepchildren, David Newhard of Pittsburgh and Tiffany Newhard of Meadville; a stepgrandson, Isaiah Newhard; a sister, Michele Deeney of Watertown, N.Y.; a brother, Ryan Manning and his wife, Megan, of Hellertown; his grandmother, Mary Gerard of Meadville; nieces and nephews Schular, Carter, Bridgette and Jackson Deeney; stepniece Amber Kull and stepnephew Jason Kull; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents Harry and Betty Manning and Howard Gerard; great-grandparents John and Jane Pendleton and Grace Westbrook; and a brother-in-law, Dr. Kevin Deeney. Calling hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville. The funeral and committal service is Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Father Raymond Gramata of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church officiating.   1. I am so very sorry for your loss. I could not believe the words I heard coming from the other end of the phone. I am going to watch Isiaih today and I am not sure if I can look at him without crying. He loved his “Grumpy” so very much. It is a great loss to all who know and love him.
