Mae E. Michael, 82, of 357 Erie St., Franklin, died at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law at 130 Riverside Drive, Cooperstown. Born June 12, 1927, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Leroy and Mildred Lawson Jones. She was married Sept. 14, 1949 to Victor Michael, who preceded her in death. She had been a waitress at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Buffalo. Mrs. Michael enjoyed bingo and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Diana Burk and her husband, Robert, of Cooperstown; three grandchildren, Barbara Andres and John Burk, both of Franklin, and Victoria McLain of Las Vegas; three great-grandchildren, Cara Andres, Donavan Burk and Jessie Burk, all of Franklin; and a brother, Leroy Jones Jr. of Clearfield. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Green, and a sister, Louella Mong. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Susan Evans, the VNA Hospice pastor, presiding. Interment will follow in Franklin Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the VNA Foundation or to Caring for the Caregiver, Jackie's Chapter, P.O.   2. Diana, Bob and family. I’m so sorry to hear about Mae passing. She was one ecletic woman! Whom i’ll alway remember with the fondest memories( especially all the times she threated to steal Vickys’ boyfriends!!) I’ll keep you all in my prayers and thoughts! Take care!

  3. I will miss Aunt Mae. She was a good and greatful aunt. I remember her Elvis Collection most of all. I am Janet Crawford’s daughter– Danna mong know’s who i am.
