Madeline M. Cappellino, 68, of Lessing Street, Pittsburgh, PA, passed away, Friday, May 20, 2011 at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born December 13, 1942 in Meadville, PA she was a daughter of Joseph Petruso and Mary Saliva Petruso. She married her husband Peter J. Cappellino on August 26, 1967. Madeline was a 1962 graduate of Meadville High School She worked as a telephone operator at Spencer Hospital until the birth of her children. Later on in life she work with the home care of the elderly. She was a member of Saint Brigid Catholic Church before she moved to Pittsburgh. She enjoyed cooking, going out to dinner, going to movies and plays, and she was a member of the Frick Historical Society in Pittsburgh. In addition to her husband Peter of 43 years, survivors include; two daughters Lisa Sauers and her husband Rodney of Ingram, PA and Denise Gilbert and her husband Bruce of Lititz, PA; two grandsons Noah Michalski and Zachary Gilbert; and two sisters Marian Bergamasco of Erie and Shirley Goss and her husband Robert of Baltimore, MD. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Arthur Bergamasco. Calling hours will be Monday, May 23, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. the funeral and committal service will follow at 4:00 at the funeral home with Father Mark O'Hern of Saint Brigid Catholic Church officiating.
