My deepest sympathy to the family. Lois was a wonderful woman.
Lois A. Martin, 78, of Polk passed away in her home on February 10, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 8, 1946 in Lorain, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruth (Murray) Williams.
She was a graduate of Punxsutawney High School where she met the love of her life, Richard Martin. These high school sweethearts eventually got married and ended up living near Franklin, PA.
For many years, Lois worked for General Motors, doing various jobs as needed, finally working in wire harness department.
She enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband where they both got to visit Alaska twice to see their son, Brian, who was stationed there. She was really good at sewing and could often been found in or near water. Since she loved to swim so much, the family was positive she was a fish at times.
Her biggest love was her family whom she was delighted with every moment with them.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Richard of Polk; her sons Brian Martin and his wife, Kim, of Polk and Chris Martin and his companion, Jess Chess, of Franklin; her grandchildren Christina “Cats”, Leanne, and Megan; her brother Doug Williams and his wife, Carol, of Cleveland, OH; and her nephew Bruce Williams of Texas. She will missed by her buddy, Yukon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her parents-in-law Elmer Wilson Martin and Ida (Bell) Martin and her brothers Ken Williams and Bob Williams.
In following with Lois’ wishes, no public services will be held at this time but a Celebration of Lois’ life will be announced at a later date by the Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin.
Memorial contributions are to be made in Lois’ memory to the Venango VNA Foundation, 491 Allegheny Blvd., Franklin, PA 16323.
