Linda I. Myers Linda Myers, 62, of State Route 417, Franklin, passed away at 1:40 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at UPMC Northwest, after a lengthy battle with two rare types of cancer. Born April 23, 1948, in Franklin, Linda was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Shirley Smith Porter, Sr. She was married to Ronald F. Myers, Jr. on June 15, 1968 and he survives. She had been employed for 19 years as a receptionist in the office of Dr. Gammello. Linda enjoyed camping, boating, traveling and her rock gardens and flower gardens. She also enjoyed her two cats, Cheech and Chong. One of her biggest joys in life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the times she spent with them and her family. In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her son, Ronald F. Myers, III and his wife, Breena, of Franklin; and her daughter, Tammy Luce and her husband, Jeffrey, also of Franklin. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Ashli, Aaron and Marcus Luce, of Franklin; and her two great-grandchildren, Kylah and Kahle Luce, of Franklin. Additionally, Linda is survived by her two brothers, Charles E. Porter, Jr., and his wife, Carol, and Rick L. Porter and his wife, Kathy, all of Franklin; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Ann Myers; and her two brothers, Robert and Randy Porter. Family and friends will be received at the Gardiner Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Thursday, January 6, from 5 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services for Linda will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, January 7 at 11 a.m. , with Dr. David Holste, retired United Methodist Minister, officiating.
