Leona M. Krider, 91, of 11120 Hunters Ridge, Meadville, passed away at her daughters home surrounded by her family. Born in East Mead Township, Feb 5, 1920, she was the daughter of Edward Smith and Frances Kramer Smith. She married Lawrence M. Krider on November 21, 1945. She was a 1937 graduate of Cochranton High School and was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, sewing, quilting, and most of all spending time with her family, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a lifelong active member of Watson Run Presbyterian Church. She gave much of her time to the church and was a member of the former Mayme McMichael Missionary Society. She was always willing to extend a helping hand to her friends and those in the community. Survivors include her two daughters, Donna Mudger and her husband Ken, and Diane Stefanucci all of Meadville; seven grandchildren, Scott Mudger and his wife Tamara, Ryan Mudger and his wife Joy, Jason Mudger, Staci Mudger, Dr. Jill Uberti and her husband Dr. Anthony Uberti, Michael Stefanucci and his wife Meghan, Jennifer Hruska and her husband Joseph; nine great-grandchildren, Kyle, Dylan, Megan, Logan, Dominic, Vincent, Emersyn, Annistyn, and Tucker; several nieces and nephews; and a brother, Wayne Smith of Meadville, whom she was very close to. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 61 years; three brothers, Harold, Oscar, and Arthur Smith; and two sisters, Freida Smith and Helen Krider. Calling hours will be Monday, June 20, 2011 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral will be Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Watson Run Presbyterian Church, 13594 Harmonsburg Road, Meadville, with Pastor Dan McEldowney and Reverend Frank Duncan, co-officiating. Burial will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery, East Mead Township.
