  10. A special ray of sunshine has gone out for us.   Leeda was a very special lady who will sadly be missed….but we know that loss is immeasurable for her family.  Please know that we are thinking of Leeda and her loved ones at this time…nothing can fill the void of a mother, grandmother an wife.  As Leeda herself told me last month….If I beat this cancer, I win.   If I die…I still win because I know where I am going.

  11. Leeda and I taught together in Seventh Street School.  I was saddened to hear of her passing.  Please know how very sorry I am.

  12. To all that knew how special a woman she was, we will truly miss her. She was a big part of my life as a close family friend and teacher. My heart certainly has a piece missing but I will keep in mind to “keep my head down” and remember the good times.

  14. Dear Wally and family,
Sending sincere condolences to all of you during this hard time.  Leeda was a caring person with a great sense of humor!  She will be greatly missed.  (I am so sorry I did not know she was sick again until last Friday.  I would have come and talked to her.)  We always shared our fears of the big C returning.  A compassionate person she was. Always worrying about others. I will miss running into her and chatting.  You will be in my thoughts during these difficult times.

  15. So very sad to hear about Leeda.  My family and I send our deepest sympathy to you and your family.  Know that the thoughts and prayers from friends and family are with you.

  16. Dear Wally, Becky and Amy,

Leeda was such a great colleague during my years teaching in Franklin! Our paths crossed often, and I really appreciated her no nonsense, hands-on approach to teaching, and her unfailing service to the FAEA.  Her quick, dry wit was a delight; it was always a great, animated conversation with Leeda.  My sincere, heartfelt condolences to each of you.  I am sure her wonderful spirit lives on in Becky and Amy.  May you each find comfort in knowing so many shared your love of Leeda.  I feel so lucky to have known her.

  17. Wally and family, Very sorry to hear that Leeda passed away. I will remember her for her sense of humor and witty comebacks.
