Lawrence E. Lewis, 62, of 351 Causeway Drive, Franklin, died, Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 2:55 am at Sugar Creek Station. Born October 11, 1947 in Grove City, he was the son of the late Clair K. and Ruth M. Gibbons Lewis. Lawrence was a gas puller and laborer for Kwik Fill Gas Stations. He was Vietnam War Veteran. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and racing. He was married in June 1990 to Tina M. Johnson, who preceded him in death in 2005. Lawrence is survived by his daughter, Christy Marie Lewis of Franklin and his two grandchildren, Thomas Allen Moore, Jr. and Tessa Marie Moore both of Oil City. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 12-2 pm. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam Wagner, Associate Pastor of Christ United Methodist Church, presiding. Full military honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Pittsburgh, PA. I am so sorry my dearest daughter for your loss…I am sorry that I was not there at the funeral but I was sick and falling over…please …just remember the good times that you had with your father…
